Goodbye, Furry Friend

The day had finally come, when our beloved pet
had to leave us and pass away. We shed tears of sorrow,
But we knew there was nothing more we could do.
We thought of all the happiness they gave to us,
The love, the laughs and all the moments we had.
It was a hard goodbye for us to accept,
But we knew that they were in a better place.
We wondered where they had gone,
What was their new home?
Our hearts filled with sadness and worry,
But a butterfly soon appeared to tell us the story.
The butterfly's wings sparkled in the sun,
As it flew gently towards us and told us of a place,
Where our beloved pets go when they pass away.
A place where they stay forever, and never have to part.
It was called the Rainbow Bridge,
Where our pets play and have fun,
With no sadness or pain, only love and joy remains.
Our pets can finally be at peace, and never feel alone.
We wished we could bring them back,
Despite all the love we had for them,
But the butterfly told us we can still be close,
And watch over them from afar.
Our beloved pets will still watch over us no matter where they are,
The butterfly said they will be our guardian angel,
Watching over us as we walk,
Making sure our lives are filled with joy and love.
The butterfly then flew away,
Leaving us with a feeling of peace.
We said our last goodbye,
And knew our pets were in a much better place.
We will forever miss our beloved pets,
But we know we will be reunited one day,
At the Rainbow Bridge, where our pet will be waiting,
To take us into their loving arms.
Until that day, we can still feel their presence,
And the love they have for us never really ends.
Our beloved pets will always be by our side,
Watching over us, like a guardian angel in the sky.
