In the shadows of St. Mark's

In the shadows of St. Mark's

By Thomas Miller

In the shadows of St. Mark's Parish, where the whispers of penance and forgiveness fade into the night, there lies a darker tale, one that Father Arby keeps hidden from the eyes of his congregation. For Father Arby is not your typical priest; by day, he wears the cloak of holiness, but by night, he dances with the devil.

It was on a moonless night that Father Arby found himself face to face with the prince of darkness himself. The devil offered him a deal, a contract that would bind his soul to the depths of hell. But Father Arby, driven by a thirst for darkness that burned deeper than any flame, accepted without hesitation.

With his friend Ken Horrorwood, a master of snuff film artistry, Father Arby created a twisted world of terror for the homeless souls they lured from the streets. Under the guise of providing them with shelter and solace, they led them to a fate worse than death.

Father Arby would administer the last rites, his voice laced with false piety, as Ken worked his macabre magic behind the camera. They reveled in the screams of their victims, their blood painting a grotesque masterpiece of horror and depravity.

The awards and accolades they received for their charity work were nothing but a mask, hiding the true nature of their deeds. For Father Arby and Ken were not saviors; they were reapers, harvesting souls for their own twisted pleasure.

As Father Arby reflects on his pact with the devil, he wonders if Christ died for him, if redemption is still within his grasp. But for now, he continues his dance with darkness, knowing that his pound of flesh will come due, and he will pay the ultimate price for his sins.
