Has the Dead Ever Cried

Has the Dead Ever Cried

By Thomas Miller

Oh, sweet Thomas, you once were loved
But now you're gone, has your love been taken for granted?
From such stone lawn, your barrier it stands,
A heap of trash that once was cherished, once helped,
But really, did they ever truly help you?
Were you ever truly loved?

You may never know, for you lie in the cold ground,
The four minutes of crying turns into a night of lust,
The lady you thought you loved is now with another man.
Poor sweet Thomas, you have no idea,
That you were never truly loved, only for four minutes,
A lifetime of helping, a four-minute cry,
And then she reaches the sky in lust.

Poor sweet Thomas, you just lie there, taking it,
And you know deep inside, you can't hide
From their fake pride.

Oh, sweet Thomas, has the dead ever cried?
